  1. Patrick says:

Something obvious to you is vague to your customer, they need your explanation.

  2. Brandon says:

Marketing is about telling, educating and reiteration.

  3. Emily says:

I’ve heard the case of Schlitz beer, classic illustration of your point.

  4. Blake says:

Many ads are made to state the obvious, especially brewery and wine business.

  5. ccholai says:

    Transparency and honesty 🙂

  6. Ethan says:

It’s interesting how there are titles for some professions, but not for others. I’m thinking of how a physician is called “Doctor”, but a school teacher or business owner is not given a title. I guess we non-doctors need to know how to market ourselves!

  7. Sam says:

You have to make people aware of your credentials otherwise they will simply not know what you can do.

  8. Bruno says:

Wow this is such an eye opener! The power of marketing and advertising is truly amazing! Too bad for the competition though, but this is what makes business great, especially if you get insight like this. Its does really baffle me how a piece of information can stimulate the consumer black box. Here we are wondering why coke keeps posting advertisements since they really are known globally. Yet have we not wondered why do unconsciously purchase a coke?

  9. Karlsonn says:

A lot of times we really neglect to mention the strong points of our background. This usually wastes a lot of our time and opportunity. This can all be traced to the fact that a good plan was not laid down.

  10. Zerda says:

These people jobs are so overlooked really. You know when I was in college I sometimes made fun of my teachers not realizing how much work they had to put in their theses just to get that job.
