A sense of closeness really helps.
A Friend in need is friend indeed.
Good advice. I hate reading ads that read as if they were spit out by a computer.
I agree. I much prefer personalized items over ‘form copies’. How a company communicates with you can tell you how they will treat you as a customer/client.
It makes a difference is a company addresses something directly to a customer. It makes them feel special and more likely that they make a sale.
Why even bother if the message is not personal? Seems like a waste of time.
I think that trying to convey a message as if you are speaking to a friend is a good way to make a connection. Sometimes overly formal or technical wording can really put up a wall where you don’t want a wall to be.
That’s a great idea to get over the stiff corporate wording I struggle with sometimes.
Some of the best sales pitches I have heard really grabbed me because I was being spoken to as a friend. It made me feel very comfortable.
Good idea! Not only will these messages be better to read they will also be easier to write. I have a far easier time writing to a friend than writing to someone I do not know. I also think that people are more likely to want to do business with you if you treat them like a real person and not just a client.
I find this hard to do. too many times when writing a letter I often feel as if i’m submitting a statement or a report. any tips on how to remedy this?
