50 minutes later?!? You two must be very patient.
This was a fair thing for them to do. At least they tried to correct their error.
Did no one else notice you sitting there not being served? For nearly an hour?
I agree. A money back guarantee is great, but these days it is really important for businesses to set themselves apart from the competition.
Customer satisfaction is the most important thing. If they are not happy, you will lose both money and loyalty.
win-win situation does not occur often in reality. There’s alway one party suffer more loss, if you are the business own, make sure that one is you, not your customer.
Word of mouth is so powerful these days…you can build reputation overnight and also ruin it overnight.
I’ve run into the same situation. Unfortunately I didn’t get refund, apology or any other kind of compensation…
wow – wish more places were like that – but wow true 50mins! that took a lot of patience! and guess it was worth it too!
As a customer, I always appreciate it when a business stands behind their brand. It makes me loyal to them and willing to give them a second chance when they acknowledge their shortcomings.
Giving the customer a level of comfort is really important. People need to be free to overcome their skepticism, and a guarantee does just that.
Amazing, I never expected that tactic to be effective, I’ve seen the worse reactions from people who’ve had the same situation saying they’ll never come back, but I guess in here you don’t get to see managers like that too often.
To give out a compensation as generous as that meant, the establishment valued its customer. A lot of restaurants would actually just let you leave. But this guy has succesfully gained a long term profitable relationship by making you happy!
They’ve actually invested on you and you didn’t know it. such is the power of marketing. I always though my marketing class was rubbish but now that i think about it. It really does help me get money.
