I am presently feeling what Susan "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" Jeffers would call the fear of handling failure (or even success!). I am planning to start off on my own next year. On a recent webinar, Paul advised me to hand my notice in if I want to start applying for contracting jobs. I AM going to do it - but not just yet. The plan is to pass the first 2 CCNP exams THEN hand my notice in, and study/pass the final exam whilst I'm working my 3-months notice. The reason? I still feel a bit apprehensive/frightened - will I be capable of doing the job? Should I only apply for CCNA-level/entry-level jobs to begin with? etc

If I am to succeed the I am going to have to take the bull by the horns. I am going to have to feel to get through the pain barrier.

We need to overcome our fears. Get out of our comfort zone. Take positive action. Positive steps.

They've actually invested on you and you didn't know it. such is the power of marketing. I always though my marketing class was rubbish but now that i think about it. It really does help me get money.

These people jobs are so overlooked really. You know when I was in college I sometimes made fun of my teachers not realizing how much work they had to put in their theses just to get that job.

35 for a loaf??? never mind that i'd just get myself a book. A book I would get to keep for life. and thats 35 pounds forever in my possession. 35 pounds that would be digested after 8 hours is not worth it!

It is a definite Turn off for me whenever a vendor says something bad about the competition or tries to force me to buy the product. I feel bad sometimes about them not making a sale, but really sometimes its their own fault.

A few years ago a guitar Company named Gibson made prestige quality guitars. these start at $1800, the thing was Gibson wanted more sales. so in an effort to increase sales they lowered the price and also started an outsourced factory in Korea. the opposite happened. sales declined shortly.

the point is People really like paying for expensive stuff expecting better quality.

When I was still in school our curriculum required us to setup a goal chart daily, in which we would write how many pages of the workbook did we intend to finish. Astonishingly if you put your mind to it you'd definately finish your goal at the end of the day, that means no homework. If you still don't do your homework though your in for a detention. and that is not pleasant at all. Still to this day I try to retain some of that training. Its done wonders for me in my quality of work.

When you set a goal you already set yourself apart from all the other bums in the community. I believe the great people of today had goals in mind when they started in life. Too bad some people cannot capture this character trait.

Making a systemic way of getting the good graces of your customers is a valuable strategy anyone should make. A single thank you or Kind gesture alone can double your customers by the end of the month. Never fail to be kind to others even if they complain a lot.
